أشياءا لا تنتظر ..تجيء بسرعة ..تأسرنا بجمالها ثم تختفي دون سابق إنذار..فليس القمر كل ليلة بدراً و لا الحقل دائما قمحاً.. و لا اليوم كاملا هو فجراً!

Redrose, I really love reading this. You remind me of the beauty of expressing ourselves in Arabic. Somehow it also reminds me of Nawal Al Sadawi way of writing.

You should consider start writing a story. You are really talented.

awal shi really I am so glad to hear this, and YES still we can express in Arabic in beautiful way..u know what Fadi..in school they teach the students a DRY arabic texts ..halla2 el old heritage in this literature is precious but pls they should understand that students are not ready to stick to these texts the whole time..I wonder why they don't let them read Mustag'anmi's novels..Nizar Qabani's poems..Hanan El Sheikh ..Gada El Saman..etc their works are really wonderful and interesting.
I used to have the typical idea that the Arabic literature is boring! I studied Spanish and English literature..both of them present a beautiful writings and recently I realized that Arabic also has its own beauty in a special way. I realized this when I had the chance to read books I like not mandatory books at school or University..I hope many young will also realize this soon before it's too late :) we should work on this

I'll think seriously to try writing again short stories..once Ms. Basma Nsur editor for Taiki Magazine(female literature) she asked my sister who's this girl..let her send something for our magazine :) it was a gr8 honor to recieve this offer from a lady like her..inshalla I'll try o yetla3 shi good ma3i.

You are totally right, there is a beauty in the Arabic language that isnt matched by any other language. It is just sad how they neglect this and constraint on rigid grammer at school!

I feel envy now, my keyboard supports only english letters! I should get a new one and start exploring my own potential in Arabic :)

lols..I am sure that you will come up with a nice writing coz the sense and sensibility are the most important elemnts here whether you express in Arabic or English or any other language. I'll be the first reader to your post in Arabic.
